Existing process
Many inquiries start because a frame failed, not because a new plant is being laid out. Matching suction and discharge connections is not a drop-in specification. The existing model, motor data, oil type, operating history and the system conditions that led to the failure still have to travel with the RFQ. Continue with the replacement-package article.
Ask which oil, protection, control and mounting components accompany the quoted unit, and keep compressor supply separate from refrigerant handling and plant acceptance.
Compatibility checks
- Envelope: refrigerant, evaporating and condensing temperatures, and whether published displacement at 50 Hz is being treated as kW duty.
- Connection: suction and discharge sizes, oil-return path, and whether the motor voltage and frequency match the US site.
- Operator: who drains, charges and logs SAT temperatures after the new frame is landed.
